Acupuncture

Years of meticulous and repetitive practice have yielded the utmost precision with needling techniques at RTA, delivering the most effective care possible. Our Acupuncture treatments are steadfast and potent.

Acupuncture in the West has a reputation for being delicate and sensation-less. At Rising Tide Acupuncture we understand there is a time for delicate handling, but there are also situations where potent cures are needed for stubborn ailments. We evaluate each case specifically and then decide what the most appropriate method is for timely and lasting results.

Systemic Assessments

Countless hours of research and hands-on practice have led to top level systemic assessments. By blending western findings such as laboratory and imaging results and blending them with eastern physiology, we have created a highly unique, accurate, and effective diagnostic system.

Systemic assessments allow an insight into your body’s inner workings, used to decipher and understand what specific abnormalities and insufficiencies are occurring, and what enhancements are needed.

Herbal Prescriptions

Pharmaceutical grade herbal prescriptions personally dispensed to alter your state of health through biochemical means. We only carry the highest quality herbs from the most reputable sources around the world.

Herbs work biochemically like pharmaceuticals, but without the negative and aggressive side effects we all fear when thinking of modern drugs. Herbal Prescriptions are dispensed in-house at Rising Tide Acupuncture. Each formula is crafted personally for every patient. We always make sure to obtain the most natural and safe herbal products on the market.

Testimonials

Having 5 kids in less than 7 years and nursing each of them for a year, I’ve learned a lot about my body. Food is medicine but I love my holistic care as well. I have done acupuncture occasionally the past 6 years. Whenever I had an issue, I would do a few sessions and I would feel much better. When finding out I was pregnant with our 5th baby, I was a little concerned about how I would endure another pregnancy. I saw my amazing Osteopath, ran extensive blood work to confirm any potential deficiencies and I decided to start regular visits at acupuncture. I walked into @risingtideacupuncture 9 weeks pregnant, nauseous, tired, with a hurt shoulder, a sore arm, an aching neck, carpool tunnel pain, pregnancy concerns and some anxiety! I have three little kids, I cook a lot and I work out 5 times a week. Something is always sore especially now that my body is changing weekly. I knew acupuncture could help my circulation and I would probably feel a little better but I was skeptical about some of my other issues. After my 1st session, I was never again nauseous. My shoulder pain went entirely away after 3 sessions. My pregnancy concerns are almost entirely healed and my anxiety and restless leg discomfort at night is gone. Greg has helped me with a few long-lasting headaches and continues to work with my neck which is feeling much better but not yet 100%. My husband and I did a lot of acupuncture in China when we took Whitney there for treatment. The reason I was drawn to Greg was because of his studies in China and his passion in Fertility, Pregnancy and Orthopedics. I am looking forward to seeing how I do the rest of the pregnancy but this is a great start. Thank you @risingtideacupuncture! Since I could remember I’ve always wanted to become a mom. At the early age of 14, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, better know as, PCOS. I was in constant pain and never had a regular period. I remember not understanding; what does this actually mean for me? Will I be able to have children?

Many years later, after being married less than a year, my husband and I couldn’t wait to have a baby! I immediately made an appointment with my OBGYN to discuss the odds of us being able to conceive. They told me I would most likely need to take several hormonal medication to regulate my cycle (as it was totally irregular), blow out my Fallopian tubes to help the conceiving process, and be open to the idea of IUI or IVF since it’s usually the end result. I was sick, depressed, upset and physically ill from the Syndrome. It was so upsetting to think I would have to go through all of these procedures and possibly end up with nothing.

After weighing all my options and taking advice from a very good friend of mine, I decided to call Greg at Rising Tide Acupuncture. I was scared, afraid, and unsure if I was “wasting time” by getting treated with “needles” rather than listening the the OBGYN. Greg was kind, reassuring, patient with me, and most off all EXTREMELY knowledgeable about my syndrome. After only the first visit, he made me feel my decision was the right decision. First, he treated me for my excessive fevers, chills, and severe body aches. My entire life I suffered from these symptoms and within a few weeks of treatment they were gone! After, he worked on regulating my menstral cycle (which has NEVER been regulated since the day of my first period). Which he regulated after only a few months of treatment. Finally, we worked on getting my body right to conceive a beautiful little baby. Greg treated me 2 times a week for several weeks. On November 21, 2016, I went for a checkup at my OBGYN to document the progress Greg and I have been making with my PCOS and to get a monthly blood test to test my levels. The appointment went as usual and they told me to call the next day for results. On November 22, 2016 at around 12 noon, my life was changed for the better….. I WAS PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!! I couldn’t believe the doctor on the other end and they couldn’t believe the news either!!

Besides my husband, of course, Greg was the FIRST one to know! We continued treatment to keep me healthy and the baby healthy! For the first trimester we continued with the 2 times a week and eventually switched to once a week.

I am forever indebted to Greg. I owe it all to him. I owed it all to his patience, his staff, his time, his knowledge. He is one of the greatest people and doctors I know!! Because of him, on July 21, 2017 weighing in at 8lb 13oz the most beautiful baby girl was born, Penelope Joy, the greatest gift of our lives.

A HUGE thank you to Greg and his amazing staff. Without their kindness, none of this would have been possible.
